Aerosol manufacturers are required by The FEDERAL HAZARD COMMUNICATION STANDARD to supply a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). The role of the MSDS, under CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) 1910.1200, is to provide users with information concerning potential and existiting chemical hazards such as:
- Potential hazardous effects
- Physical and chemical characteristics
- Reccomendations for appropriate protective measures
